antiX is a wonderful distribution of MEPIS Linux. Because antix is designed to run on older laprops and computers it is a perfect candidate for a VirtualBox Client.

VBoxClientAdditions are installed and function well.

This is a pre-installed Virtual Computer of BackTrack 4 pre-release.

Using BackTrack

    Starting the graphical interface

  • After you start the virtual machine you will need to login at the command prompt
    username: adminuser
    password: adminuser

  • Activate network adapter
    sudo dhclient

  • then start XWindows with the startx command:
    startx

The VBoxGuestAdditions are installed and functioning well, including Auto-Resize Client Display and Seamless Mode.

Debris is based on Ubuntu and really looks great. Lightweight small foot print makes it ideal for a Virtual Image. The Debris Web site: http://debrislinux.org

Unfortunatly I was unable to get the VBoxClientAdditions installed and could not find information that pointed in the right direction.

I am looking forward to future versions of Debris wish the developers and maintainers the best. Maybe with this virtual image there will be more support for their project.

Available in both VirtualBox VDI and OVF-VMDK format

This is the second Pre-Installed release of Open ProgeX here at VirtualBoxImages.com. The first release was well received and still ranks near the top of the popular virtual images. The VBoxGuestAdditions are installed and function well.

This release will provide both the original VirtualBox VDI format and the OVF-VMDK format. The OVF Appliance can be used with other Virtualization products including VMWare.
