Xubuntu is a lightweight XFCE version of Ubuntu. This is the OS I run on older laptop computers.

This is the Alpha 4 release of Xubuntu installed in VirtualBox. This image was installed in VirtualBox version 2.1.2. You will need to have the latest version installed to run this image.

Xubuntu is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu. Unlike its parent, however, Xubuntu uses the light-weight XFce desktop environment and is optimised for lower-end machines. The distribution includes only GTK+ applications where possible.
